iPhone update
every time I go back to the Apps store, there seems to be an order of magnitude of new stuff, and free versions of most of the stuff I'm (immediately) interested in.
I've gotten something to check/look up Scrabble words on (from a choice of three!) (CheckWord).
I've gotten two eBook readers (eReader and Stanza)*.
I've gotten Tap Tap Revenge (which looks like fun, if I could be bothered), and TiltSnake.
And most recently I've gotten the new LiveJournal.app (but haven't tried it out yet).
*neither of which looks quite as nice to read on as the reader that Brothers Karamazov came built into - but a dollar or two per book is too much for a slightly nicer reader, compared with being able to get anything from Project Gutenberg etc**. for free onto a free reader.
**the Online Catalog in Stanza includes Free Books by Feedbooks - which includes some contemporary stuff***, as well as all the out-of-copyright classics.
***such as the bits and pieces that Charles Stross has put out under a Creative Commons licence - Accelerando, Scratch Monkey, and (with Cory Doctorow) Appeals Court.

Toodledo (a client for their web-based service)
Labyrinth LE (am trying to resist paying for the full edition (having tilted my ball-bearing through all 10 mazes in the free version several times))
Am also trying to resist trying out the iPhone version of SimCity...
